Terms of Service
Last updated: August 25, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Keepwise Books, a bookkeeping and financial reporting product provided by Keepwise Partners, Inc. (“Keepwise,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Keepwise Books provides software tools for households, churches, businesses, and accounting firms to connect financial accounts, categorize transactions, generate reports, and collaborate with invited users. Features may change as we improve the product.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. If you invite others, you confirm you are authorized to grant them access to the relevant entity data.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed according to the pricing presented at signup or in-product. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel future renewals at any time; access continues through the end of the paid period unless otherwise stated.
4. Your data
You retain ownership of the financial and business data you submit to Keepwise Books. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that data solely to provide and improve the service. Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with other customers, upload unlawful content, or use Keepwise Books to provide competing services built primarily on reverse-engineering our platform. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Third-party services
Bank connections and other integrations (such as Plaid) are provided by third parties under their own terms. Keepwise is not responsible for outages or errors originating from those providers.
7. Disclaimers
Keepwise Books is a software tool, not a substitute for professional accounting, tax, or legal advice. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of uninterrupted availability or perfect accuracy of imported third-party data.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Keepwise’s total liability arising out of these Terms or the service is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Keepwise is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for violation of these Terms or if we discontinue the product with reasonable notice where practicable. Upon termination, your right to access the service ends; data retention and deletion follow our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
